The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) proposed rule to amend its interpretation of the Fair Housing Act’s (FHA) disparate impact standard makes it clear that, standing alone, disparities are not actionable and that fair housing does not enforce “quotas.”
That’s according to Brian Levy, of counsel at Katten & Temple, LLP in Chicago.
