Commercial property pricing continued upward in Nov.
Commercial real estate pricing continued to rise in November, amid the year-end rush to close deals, according to CoStar Commercial Repeat-Sale Indices data. Both of the major composite price indices rose by more than 1%, exceeding the average growth rate for the previous 10 months.

Retailers ready for another strong shopping day
Tuesday could be one of the busiest shopping days of the holiday season, as Americans return to work and make online purchases for items including fitness equipment, jewelry and linens during their time in the office. The day, dubbed "Holiday Hangover Day," saw a 15% increase in online sales last holiday season, and is poised for another significant jump following this season's strong holiday sales.

Sears CEO lends retailer $200M

Amazon has patent for airborne delivery technology
Amazon has been awarded a patent for an "airborne fulfillment center," which involves airships that could fly up to 45,000 feet and house products that drones would deliver to customers.
Wheeler REIT riding retail's positive trends
Wheeler REIT is focusing on raising its stock price now that it has reduced expenses, streamlined its operations and improved its capital structure, says CEO Jon Wheeler. In general, he says, "retail is in a good spot right now," with tenants expanding and same-store sales trending upward.

Faltering exports widen US trade deficit
The US trade deficit in goods rose 5.5% from October to November, to $65.3 billion, the Commerce Department said. Imports rose $2.2 billion, to $187 billion, while exports declined $1.2 billion, to $121.7 billion, the agency said.
